How Tuesday: Craft Tutorial Round-Up

In the words of Calvin (to his good buddy, Hobbes), "The days are just packed." Although autumn is my favorite time for new beginnings and new projects, the week that play rehearsals begins is always a bit hectic.  Although I have not had much time lately to make a ton of new projects, I am constantly thinking of new ideas and gathering inspiration.

I love to make things and learn something new. Please take a moment to check the blogs in my side bar, they are some of my favorites!

In addition, these great websites and blogs are wonderful resources  for craft ideas and tutorials:

Metalwork Monday: Custom Color Bobby Pins

Okay, so today is a little bit of a cheat. I didn't actually MAKE something, I just embellished. But if you know me at all, you know how I like to match. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year for me, so simple yet helpful is the way to go!

Stitchy Saturday: Embroidered Sketchbook

Fall is a time for new beginnings, I think. I know that Spring is a more commonly held time to start anew, but the new school year always makes me more creative. I adore Moleskin notebooks of any kind, but wanted my fall sketchbook to echo that sense of what could be.

Foodie Friday: Paula's Chocolate Zucchini Bread in a Mason Jar

My friend Paula is one of the best cooks ever. She and her family eat gluten-free which is a double bonus for me since many nights she brings me dinner at play rehearsal. This bread is SO amazing it is like having the best chocolate cupcake ever but with a full serving of veggies!

Thankful Thursday: Upcycled Cookie Tins

This has been one of THOSE projects. Boom! Great idea. Get supplies. Try it. Mess it up. Stash it for a few weeks. Try again. Another mess. Finally, quasi-success!

WIP Wednesday: Embroidered Sketchbook

Today was a rough day. As a gal with MS, there are little challenges that I have to deal with daily. Tinglies, numbness, fatigue are part of my life. Not that it is a huge deal and not that I am not blessed, but some days it just adds up. I had a MRI scheduled for this morning. I got to the Imaging clinic on time, changed into my gown and was ready for a slightly loud and annoying process. Little did I know how annoying...

How Tuesday: Confetti Tumblers

Today is one of those posts that you see all over Pinterest and just have to try yourself. These glasses are so cute and whimsical that I will enjoy my morning juice that much more. They would make a great gift for the upcoming holidays as well.

Metalwork Monday: Upcycled Soda Can Jewelry

So, it is fall. Well...almost. For some reason, fall always brings out the Depression-era Weas. Maybe it is putting up food, maybe it is school supplies... regardless, I have decided to make things of other things this week (and if not actually MAKE things, fancy them up a bit!)  Welcome to Weasinart Upcycle Week.

Sunday Funday: Doctor Who Craft Round-Up

I have had a lot of fun making Doctor Who-themed crafts lately. Doubtless, there will be another one coming up before too long! Until then, I have scoured the galactic interwebs for other sources of Who crafts for us all to enjoy and to serve as inspiration!

An obvious choice: Doctor Who Crafts
Cakes, crochet, quilts and more: BuzzFeed
Awesome paper/cube crafts: CyberDrone
A great collection of every type of Whovian craft imaginable: Craftster Who Crafts
Awesome crocheted TARDIS bag: Geek Crafts

Enjoy and please share anything that you make with us!
If you have any ideas for any upcoming Doctor Who-themed weeks or any projects at all please comment here or on our Facebook page. Thanks!

I will finally have sweet dreams tonight! I finally finished my TARDIS plushie. The Doctor and all things Whovian will be dancing through my dreamland.

Foodie Friday: Custard...fish fingers optional...

Anyone who knows their Doctor Who knows that custard was almost a main character in the Series 6 premiere. I thought that I would try to make it from scratch just to up the ante for the Series 7 premiere on Saturday. I added some homemade Ginger Syrup on a few berries for a real treat!

TARDIS Thursday: TARDIS Bleach Tee

Who doesn't want a TARDIS tee? Sadly, my bleaching didn't photograph very well but I am super happy to have a little Doctor in my wardrobe.

WIP Wednesday-TARDIS Plushie

Do you ever start a project, just to have it migrate to the bottom of your work basket, forgotten? Sadly, I started this TARDIS months ago with plans to make it into a plushie. I am happy to say that it is ALMOST done!

How Tuesday: Peeking Doctor Bookmark

I think that everyone who stops by Weasinart knows what a huge geek I am. I make no apologies. Doctor Who just happens to be one of the things that I adore. I have enjoyed all the Doctors, but 10 is my favorite. Today's project is just a quick little craft to have a little doctor in your day.

Stitchy Saturday: Steering Wheel Cover

I live in the heart of Central New York. That means hot summers and frigid winters. All summer long, I have been burning my hands when I hop in the car after work.

I know that before long, my fingers will fell as though they are freezing to the wheel. It was time to add a little more me into my ride while helping myself out at the same time. The steering wheel cover coordinates with the seat belt cover that I made earlier this week.

Nigel, my Beefeater co-pilot approves.
